The International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2025 will be held from July 20–27, 2025, in Quezon City, Philippines. Hosted at Ateneo de Manila University, this prestigious global competition is designed for secondary school students passionate about biology.
The 36th IBO will include practical exams to test students' lab skills and their ability to solve biological problems. Additionally, participants will engage in the International Group Project, where teams choose a topic and create a research proposal. The IBO, held annually, aims to identify and support the next generation of leaders in biological science.
