How to Qualify for INO
Understand the selection criteria and qualification process for Indian National Olympiad
Minimum Admissible Score (MAS)
50% of average of top 10 scores
MAS = 0.5 × (Average of top 10 scores)Merit Index (MI)
80% of average of top 10 scores
MI = 0.8 × (Average of top 10 scores)Proportional Representation

Previous international representatives (IPhO, IChO, IBO, IOAA, IJSO) may skip NSE in respective subject and students who have represented India in Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) and the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics for Juniors (IOAA- jr) may skip NSEP and NSEA respectively; can write INO directly after written request if eligible.
