🎯OCSC for INO Qualifiers (Stage III)

Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC)

Top performers in the Indian National Olympiads (INO) β€” approximately 35–50 students per subject (in case of tie at the last INO merit position, all students qualify for OCSC) β€” qualify for the Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) conducted by HBCSE, Mumbai.

OCSC Overview

Camp Structure: Residential Camp

Duration: 2–3 weeks (April–May)

βœ“Focus Areas: Advanced theory, experimental skills, data analysis, scientific observation & high-level problem solving

Subject Selection Rules

  • Students qualifying in more than one subject attend only one subject OCSC/IMOTC based on the preference order submitted during INO registration.
  • Vacancies are filled using the next preference order.

  • Chemistry: Apr 13–24, 2026
  • Physics: Apr 23–May 06, 2026
  • Biology: May 11–22, 2026
  • Astronomy: Apr 27–May 13, 2026

Group A (Class XII): 20 students

Group B (Class X / XI): 20 students

Final Team Selection

  • Final international teams are selected based on combined OCSC merit.
  • No group-wise (A/B) preference is given during final selection.
